~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2005 Payne County Line hosts annual awards for the artist and musicians from Oklahoma and playing in Oklahoma. There are numerous areas for all genre of music. The fans, artist, venue owners, and other support vote on their choices for the best of each area. The voting is by ballot with PCL monitoring the voting trying to keep the vote honest as can humanly be done. We try to allow one vote per ISP address, and when acceptations are needed, the fans let us know so PCL will count the additional votes and not discard them.The first year, we had almost 50,000 votes, and this past season we had around 950,000 with about 949,000 votes that were counted. Unbelievable!! And super time-consuming!! But PCL made it through and the results are overpowering! Every one on the nominee list received numerous votes. And you were voted onto the ballot by fans of yours. During the month of January, 2005, PCL server was updated with tons of bandwidth added and lot more storage added. Our numbers for the server where huge! Most we have ever received! PCL has strived since our birth to keep ads off of this site and your email address will not be given to anyone, or sold or whatever! We love privacy!! PCL has been approached by several businesses to help sponsor the awards next year. So time will see. For now, PCL wants to thank all the folks all across Oklahoma who took time to vote. We know the process is hard to do, and takes time, but it allows a much cleaner vote that might be done if it was easy! This way we feel the cream of the crop of fans voiced their opinions! This list is not by any figment of imagination complete! There are numerous bands and artist not represented. This is because no one voted at least once for them! So we will start now letting folks know PCL will do this again on Jan. 01, 2006 through Jan 31, 2006 midnight. New Years Day, New PCL Music Awards. 2005 - PCLMA had 947,711 votes; 947 Nominees; 62 Award Winners and 6 Hall of Fame Winners Honored! Again, thanks for taking time to vote!! PCL appreciates it, and so do the many artist and bands of 2005.
